Irregular periods are common but rarely just 'normal.' They typically point to one of a handful of underlying patterns: PCOS, thyroid issues, adrenal stress, low body weight or undereating, peri-menopause, or post-pill recovery.
Birth control regulates the bleed but does not address the underlying cycle. Once we identify the driver, the plan addresses it directly.

How we work through it.
We start by mapping your cycle history and current pattern carefully. When did cycles change? What was different?
Testing helps us determine which hormones are affected and what the underlying causes are. Then we develop a personalized plan to address that.
In Dr. Abbie's experience, many cycles become more regular within 3 to 6 months once the underlying driver is addressed. Results vary.

- What is the first visit? 90 minutes, in person at Knewtson Health Group in Excelsior. Any testing comes after that visit, with the cost reviewed first.
- Coming from farther away? Only the first visit has to be in person. Follow-ups can be in person or virtual, whichever works for you.
