Do you take insurance?
No. We accept HSA and FSA, and provide a superbill on request for potential out-of-network reimbursement. See pricing.
Can Dr. Abbie prescribe medication?
No. Minnesota naturopathic doctors do not prescribe. When prescription care fits, Dr. Abbie coordinates with partnering medical providers.
Can I see Dr. Abbie alongside my primary care provider?
Yes. Naturopathic care complements conventional medicine. We collaborate with existing providers and never recommend stopping medication another clinician has prescribed.
What if my labs have always been "normal"?
That's one of the most common reasons patients come to us. We look at optimal ranges, run functional testing where it will change the plan, and connect patterns that get missed in standard checkups.
What does testing cost?
Lab fees vary by panel and are quoted before ordering. We only run testing that will change your plan. More on our testing approach.
How long does it take to see results?
Many patients notice changes within 4-8 weeks. Deeper shifts typically take 3-6 months of consistent care.
How often do I need to come in?
Most patients return 2-4 weeks after the first visit for a results review, then settle into a 4-8 week rhythm for the first few months before moving to quarterly or semi-annual visits.
Are visits in person or virtual?
First visits are in person. Follow-ups can be either, whichever works for you.
Do you treat acute illness?
No. For infections, urgent concerns, or anything time-sensitive, please use primary care or urgent care. Foundations focuses on chronic, root-cause work.
What ages do you see?
Patients of all ages are welcome. Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) is a gentle option for babies, children, and adults alike. For naturopathic medicine, we primarily care for adolescents (ages 12+) and adults. Younger children are welcome on a case-by-case basis, and we recommend continuing routine well-child visits and annual physicals with their primary care provider.
